The municipality of Santa Rosa in the province of Laguna located about 40 kilometers south of Metro Manila, has emerge as the fastest growing municipalities in the Southern Tagalog Region. It is already an established industrial center, hosting major business firms and industrial estates particularly, Laguna Technopark Inc. and Greenfield Business Park. Dubbed as Little Detroit of the Philippines, it has the greatest concentration of car manufacturer and assembler in the country. Golf enthusiasts may choose from two world class golf courses, the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club and the Country Club where the recent ASEAN Games were held. Santa Rosa is also but an hour away from the leisure areas of the Tagaytay Highlands, the beaches of Batangas or the hotsprings of Calamba and the greenery of Los Banos.
Complementary to the 2,961 registered business establishments in the city as of August 2005, a total of 31 commercial banks, 14 rural banks and 3 government banks are scattered along the city's commercial districts.
Hospital facilities are just a ride away in Santa Rosa which houses six secondary and tertiary hospitals, namely: Southern Luzon Hospital and Medical Center, Saint James Hospital, Santa Rosa Community Hospital, Balibago Polyclinic and Hospital, Santa Rosa Hospital and Medical Center and the soon-to-rise New Sinai MDI Hospital.
Santa Rosa too boasts of a competitive workforce. The combined strength of the city's educated workers and professionals number 100,000 and growing.

Low cost of doing business
But more than high quality facilities and support services, Santa Rosa also boasts of lower costs of doing business and investment incentives. Incentives include income tax holidays, tax and duty exemptions and simplified import and export procedures, among others. Daily minimum wage is provincial and much lower than Metro Manila rates. The cost of land too is much lower than other established cities. Power and communication costs are competitive and rates for office space and land lease are much lower than in Metro Manila. And these only mean more profitability for business.
